Only superficial people pay no attention to surface appearance

What does all these pictures have in common?

All the luxurious fabrics are coming from Jakob Schlaepfer, a swiss producer of innovative textiles, specializing in embroideries, sequins, lasers and haute couture for the interior, established in 1904. I had the chance and was allowed to visit their stand at the Premiere Vision in Paris (which all students can do so) and can only say, that to feel and see their fabrics was an amazing opportunity. Their knowledge and creativity is endless. They invented a sequins material with double-sided sequins, which you can coat from one side to the other and create by this movement a very visual effect.

Nowadays they work(ed) for so many Couture and Prêt-à-Porter Houses, eg: Rick Owen, Christian Lacroix (not anymore.pity), Akris, Jean Paul Gaultier, Yves Saint Laurent, Marc Jakobs, Anne Valerie Hash, Givenchy, Alexander McQueen (not anymore.pity), Vivienne Westwood, George Hobeika, etc.

Switzerland is in fabric development and textile creativity one of the few countries with a huge importance and impact in the fashion business.
