dance at the beach

Short a 3 minute old film presenting the choreography and the dances of the collective of breakdance Dutch Illusionary Rockaz. Heading “IRC Dance Movement”, the plans are connected on a tape its Off Porcelain – Signal the Captain. ( seen at Fubiz). Nice old looking couleur and graphics involved in some jumping scenes.

it looks so easy and big, but of course its tiny and a huge organisation!

thanks S. you are the best! this is a great short film  made for Nokia from the Sumo Science.

but even more incredible is the animation when you see the making of and you realise how tiny the little girl and the whole scenery is!

here the incredible making of! Well done, great work!

Francoise Gamma is the artist behind these wired, interesting little motion graphics. I could not find out more about here. I saw here work first a few weeks ago at the Kanye West Site-Blog. She has done the opening page for him with two deconstructed bodies turning around their axes. No idea where and how you can categorize the stuff -art-motion-animation?! Any suggestions?

200 articles so far… still creating my own vision

This is my unspectacular 200th article. I am still loving the way of blogging and what I have learned so far from making researches all the time. And I got used to use the internet, which I have also done before but now I know much more where to find which information. This video below is the right one for this day, because the man creates a world for his love.

This award winning short was created by filmmaker Bruce Branit, widely known as the co-creator of ’405′. World Builder was shot in a single day followed by about 2 years of post production. Branit is the owner of Branit VFX based in Kansas City.

just have a little fun!

Yum Yum London are Beth Algieri and Jonny Plummer, two directors/ designer with a common passion for creating new and exciting animation, illustration and designs and they shared this short animation to brighten up our day!! It worked for me, I had a smile on my face.. nicely done!

fluid ink line

Fase call themselves a “music collective, a magazine, or a design studio,” which doesn’t entirely make sense to us, but this confusing blend of descriptives becomes utterly clear when the Argentines apply their love of music with motion graphics. Their music clip for “Me and Miss Rand” by Brendan Crosskerry is an exercise in fluidity as ink-like blots blossom and dissolve through space in sync to the melody, like watching a live watercolor painting.

Do it without thinking of critics

Julien Vallée is a graphic designer and art director from Montréal, Canada, who creates tangible images for clients from The New York Times Magazine to Swatch and MTV-One. Julien’s work was granted recognitions such as the ADC Young Guns 6 Award and Creative Review Award 2010.

“I believe that expression should not be fade by the fear of being criticized by others.”

Trying to explore the different fields of design, he’s been questioning the relative roles of the computer and handmade processes in design. He tries to get in touch with every aspect of the environment, using manual processes strongly supported by the technological tools of today to bridge as many of these disciplines as he can.

abstract music birds

A new article about one thing I really find very interesting: to combine Music and motion Graphic and animation. hope you like it as well!

Abstract birds are Pedro Mari and Natan Sinigaglia, two visual music artists.Their work combines images with sounds through the use of musical instruments interfaced with generative systems dedicated to audiovisual creation in real time. The musical aesthetic is rooted both in the tradition of classical music and in the well-established tradition of jazz, drawing in particular from the latter the improvisatory nature of execution, which is crucial in the work of Abstract Birds. The visual aesthetic is abstract, with a conscious use of shapes and colors, although the dynamics of the audiovisual world take inspiration from the natural world.

“Celeste Motus” is an audiovisual suite in three movements. Both the music and the visuals are generated in realtime using the input of two electric instruments (a wind instrument and a piano). The original setup is meant to be a three screens span mode resulting in a panoramic 4:1 view. The theme of the suite is the growth of consciousness, a growth that develops during the three movements.

custom typography

I really have no knowledge about typography but as far as I can say Non-Format is doing an amazing work.Jell Ekhorn (Norwegian) and Jon Forss (British) have worked together as the creative direction & design team Non-Format since 2000. They work on a range of projects including art direction, design, illustration and custom typography for arts & culture, music industry, fashion and advertising clients. They have art directed the independent music monthly The Wire and also Varoom: the journal of illustration and made images.

Their clients list is way to long to mention it here… you have to look at their site and watch this crazy creative stuff!!!

yellow, blue, red

A short visualisation about music, the combination between art and music is a topic which I  find always intresting to see and hear! Animation is done by Oren Rubin. The famous Mondrian piece “composition with yellow, blue and red” moves to the sounds of a song by jewish singer-songwriter Eviatar Banai. the movements of each color is coordinated with a different instrument – yellow for the cello, red for the violin and blue for the bas.
